Linking posts to a hub
When you create a post, it will default be associated with the hub where you started the creation process (for example, if I start it from "Marketing Project", my post with be associated with "Marketing Project"). However, you can change what hub the post is associated with at the top of your page to associate it with yourself, other teams, or other projects.
Before you publish your post, make sure you double-check where you're posting as that will determine who gets notified about your post (for example: if I share a post to "Marketing Project", all members and followers of "Marketing Project" will be alerted of my post).
@mentioning
You have the ability to @mention Qatalog members in a post. @mentioning is great for specifically calling out to a person and drawing their attention to a section. To @mention someone, type @ in the body of your post, and type in the person's name you'd like to @mention. When you publish your post, they will be notified that you @mentioned them.
Sharing to Slack or email
You can choose to share your post to a Slack channel, Slack DM, or email during the publishing process.
For the first time you'd like to share to Slack, follow these steps:
- In Qatalog: Configure your Slack integration
- In Slack: Invite @Qatalog to the desired Slack channel
- Click Share in the upper right corner of your post then select the channel you'd like to share to.
Reacting to a post
A helpful way to respond to your teammates with your reaction to their post is to provide a reaction via the post emojis. Posts also contain read receipts so you can see who has read the post.
