Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) are a popular goal setting framework supported by Qatalog goals.
In an OKR framework, you set an overarching objective ("Double revenue this year") and create supporting key results ("Sell $1M in new business in Q3") to help you measure success and focus your efforts towards achieving your objective. Another way to think about the relationship between an objective and its key results is an objective is where you want to go and a key result is a way you get there.
To create an OKR in Qatalog, simply create a goal, set your objective, and create multiple supporting key results to help you measure the success of that objective. We recommend 2-4 key results per objective. If you want to stick to a strict OKR format, you may want to start with organization-level OKRs first, and then work with departments, teams, and individuals to create cascading OKRs in support of these organization-level OKRs.
Once you've created your OKR, you can go into individual key results and assign key result ownership, link supporting projects, and set up recurring status updates just like any other goal.
