You can set up a KPI so that it’s its own Module, or as a measurement within a specific Module type (ex: a KPI within a Projects Module). We recommend going the latter route - KPIs are most helpful within the context of the work and people driving that KPI forward.
In either scenario, add the Measurements capability to your desired Module and follow the steps below to either make a default KPI setup in Module settings, or to create a KPI within a Module item.
Examples of KPIs:
- Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC)
- Sales cycle length
- Office space utilization
- Cost of goods sold
- Marketing site CTR
Example KPI Set-up:
- Name: (Your choice)
- Source: Manually entered
- Unit: Number/Currency/Percent
- Target values: Off
Note: Target values being off is one of the differentiators between a KPI and a goal - KPIs are about consistently monitoring a value, whereas goals have a specific endpoint in sight.
